After nearly 100 trips to the African Sahara, we can confirm that Oman is the best of the best. The reason is simple. Oman has a wonderful desert with high dunes, has enormous mountain ranges that you can remember to the Dolomites raising up to 3,000 m. The wadis (valleys between the mountains) in most countries are normally dry for most of the year, but in Oman they are filled with water and provide amazing natural pools and green gardens. Do not forget its world famous beaches and diving spots. It is difficult to find more variety in one country.
And most importantly, after the concerns experienced by the Arab Spring, we can guarantee that this country is completely quiet, safe and with a very low crime rate.
The tourism infrastructure is growing daily and we can choose between our tents in the middle of the dunes ("1000 star hotel") or the luxury of several dream resorts that leaves you absolutely perplexed.
